Who You Talk To
Leastonto Mold Help is a referral service, so there is no crew that shows up at your door from us. When you reach out, you are routed to an independent provider in our network. That provider is a separate local business. They do the inspection, testing or removal, and they give you the quote.
What Happens on the First Call
Keep it simple. Expect a few plain questions:
- Where is the mold, and how big is the patch?
- What surface is it on: tile, drywall, wood, block?
- Is there a leak, a damp wall or a recent flood?
- Has anyone in the home had breathing problems?
Have photos handy if you can. Note the spot and when you first saw it. Then the provider can tell you whether a visit makes sense, and what kind.
What to Ask a Provider
A good provider will not mind questions. Try these:
- Are you licensed and insured where required in PA?
- Will you look for the moisture source, or only treat the mold?
- Do you recommend testing, and why?
- How will you contain the work area?
- What does the written quote cover, and what could change it?
- How will you dry the space and confirm the job is done?
If an answer is vague, ask again. Know where to stop on trusting a promise that is not in writing.
Ask About Timing and Season
In our cold, damp climate, spring snowmelt and coastal storms can bring a rush of calls. Ask how soon the provider can visit and when work could start. If your basement is wet right now, ask what you can do while you wait, such as running a dehumidifier or moving stored items off the floor.
